Can't figure out whats wrong with my 2i2
So, heres my problem...
In Ableton when ever I use the 'consolidate' function to render a audio sample, and press play. My 'Right' monitor sounds like I put a bitcrusher on my master channel........and doesn't stop until I restart Ableton.
However I can tab over to Youtube and the audio is fine, Tab back into ableton press play and sounds still shit. I tested with my head phones and yah, same thing just the 'right' speaker sounds all bitcrushy.
I tested with ASIO4ALL v2 and consolidating works just as it should, thus leading me believe there's something wrong with my 2i2.
After doing some research, I can't find anyone with the same problem. But I tried a handful of possible solutions. such as
Updated drivers
Connecting both monitors to separate power sources
Swapping USB ports
Changing buffer size
So if anyone could offer a possible solution for me, before I go and return this shit. That would be great!
Thanks.

Re: Can't figure out whats wrong with my 2i2
Does the audio get really slow, and sound almost robotic?
I used to have a 2i2 and I would get this problem, one thing I found would help for whatever reason is making sure I had it plugged in before I started up my computer. Also make sure you have it plugged into the usb port that you had it plugged into when you installed the drivers.
Also another piece of advice, the 2i2 looks cool and I know some people who have them who love them, but the saffire 6 is much better IMO. I've never had one problem with it.

I guess you could say it sounds robotic... it literally sounds like I took a bitcrusher and put it on my master and cranked to 100% wet. I can still preview samples and they sound fine, but I if I drag them in and hit play.....zosomagik wrote:Does the audio get really slow, and sound almost robotic?

That's very strange. You said you updated the drivers, but did you try uninstalling and reinstalling?
