I don't watch TV, it's a waste of time. I can read faster than people can talk and if people are just talking I can generally just get by with a transcript.

I would actually pay my license fee if the BBC served the public with a more inquisitive stance on government and monarchy, though. Otherwise, they turn a pretty blind eye

Like the one I stated about it being a TV tax that you HAVE to pay, even if you only wish to watch non-BBC content, it would be the equivalent of Royal Mail charging because you have a pizza flyer arrive through your letterbox.

BBC4 documentaries alone justify the license fee as far as I'm concerned, their music docs are always excellent and leagues above the standard of documentaries found anywhere else

The TV License is one of the best things Britain ever introduced. Pop over to America for a week, watch some telly and then come back and tell me the BBC isn't worth 40p/day.

The most basic Sky subscription is 70p/day and you still have to sit through adverts to pay for it.
