Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
I heard Chimpo - Buzzin in the dance this summer and it blew me away but listening to it afterwards, I doubt I'd really take note of it if I'd only heard it headphones.

Let's be honest. If you're hearing it on a system, you're probably at a club or something. If you're at a club or something, you're probably either chuggin or chongin. Judgement isn't gonna be the best.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
The argument is bs, i've heard whack tunes like n dubz and thought they're bangers when i'm in the club

Reminds me of people who say changes harmonimix is actually one of the best songs ever when you hear it on a system lol.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
this lol, we're not underground enough for this place though bro. When I'm in ganda, and something like "Not Nineteen Forever" comes on, I'll join in the hype, but that tune is shit.southstar wrote:The argument is bs, i've heard whack tunes like n dubz and thought they're bangers when i'm in the club

also some food for thought for yall is that some music is literally made for the purpose of making people on drugs in clubs go "wowwwwwwwwwwwww" and trip balls

The "hear it out on a system" argument only works for a select few producers imo. Coki and Peverelist are definitely in on that though, its like those two actually produce on a sound system

what? might wanna read that last part of what benny said again.

wouldn't say pev's tunes are shit/boring/whatever even you are listening to them at homeJizzMan wrote:The "hear it out on a system" argument only works for a select few producers imo. Coki and Peverelist are definitely in on that though, its like those two actually produce on a sound system
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
I enjoy peverelist's tunes at home as much as I ever did out

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
yeah this, but i would say that guys like pev, kahn, kowton etc are really really good at making their tunes sound dumb good on systems (and still sounding great at home ofc)southstar wrote:I enjoy peverelist's tunes at home as much as I ever did out
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
Yeah i agree, they know what will sound good on a big system, they have a good understanding of the context in which their music is playedPhigure wrote:yeah this, but i would say that guys like pev, kahn, kowton etc are really really good at making their tunes sound dumb good on systems (and still sounding great at home ofc)southstar wrote:I enjoy peverelist's tunes at home as much as I ever did out

See theres is def some stuff that just changes when you hear it properly. Mala- Miracle's is another for me, not saying its bad or anything just its never quite the same as out.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
I had exactly the same thing, never really rated the tune until I heard it at system and all of a sudden it just made total sense.Johnlenham wrote:Well Mala- Miracles is another than did nothing for me via headphones but at System it was basically a different tune to me

That is the equivalent of going on an nfl forum and telling people that what ever the players do with their time, they only do for the fans entertainment. It has never been like that and not once.also some food for thought for yall is that some music is literally made for the purpose of making people on drugs in clubs go "wowwwwwwwwwwwww" and trip balls
Some people get their product sold and reappropriated though and that might look similar to what you are saying, but that doesn't mean the producer wasn't feeling it as much as the next longhaired gentleman with a piano and a metronome.

Innit, i thought Soundman & Out Of Reach sounded fairly average for ages & the mixdowns were dodge, then they made sense first time i heard them at System.mIrReN wrote:+ VIVEK, wasn't really too fond of his stuff but then I went to systemJizzMan wrote:The "hear it out on a system" argument only works for a select few producers imo. I think you could make the case for VIVEK more than nearly anyone else who makes the most tunes solely designed for big system play.
