well this is me. so where do you find new music? not just you but everyone? also I'm not just looking for new releases, also old tunes that I haven't discovered yet. I have been using discogs more often to find music but you can't preview it as easily as you can on youtube. I suppose most of you use surus/boomkat/discogs/shit like that?

Also with discogs you can only find releases, no dubs.

I heard from a 'credible' source that remarc and paradox are doing a thing together.

Go see paradox live if you get the chance. Amiga setup with beats on floppy disk, great sound.

Yep, pretty much. And that's how it is/will be with dubstep.
Who do you mean like old pinch and that whole thing ?
I never really clicked with it tbf. Thought the whole thing was maybe too brief.

Too brief? Digital Mystikz have been releasing tunes for 8/9 years, Pinch, Kode9, etc. all similar times. That's longer than UKG and jungle, etc. were all noteworthy.

I do listen to rinse, mainly youngsta, n-type, and swamp. Most of the other stuff is meh.

Problem with mixes is that you can't always get a tracklist. I will look into more mixes though on soundcloud and youtube.

When it comes to rinse I recommend Hyperdub, Dusk & Blackdown, Hessle, Critical, Metalheadz and Surgeon to name a few

hrm I understand the om unit, it's good but not special but Rashad is sick what have you checked thusfar?

@ dubunked, there are a lot of genre threads and dubstep type/style threads or producer threads, you could check those, or the threads with the mixes (alpacafiles, kode9 da thread,...)

unpopular opinion; I only rate hyperdub + D&B from those, the rest are a bit stale imho sometimes I check them though

Also machinedrums essential was just good to me but nothing special

Garethom,

It's highly subjective wether you believe it was/has been alive for that long.
I mean some jungle lables from back then are still at it.
What I meant was the sound was progressive for a very brief period.
From something to brostep back to something called dungeon, maybe?.
I'm not an authority at all on the subject.
Think of how many periods there's been in dnb and how many subgenres just as a comparison. But whatever lets not count anymore

miRen

probably just dubstep actually.

yea thats why i said 'just', still good stuff coming from there.

NTS is an awesome station, no doubt. i love the diversity of that station, should actually start listening more often tbh haha
