It's when you squat and your hips rotate forward and your ass sticks out.

And the business man who's paying you $100 an hour doesn't like that.

Been going hard on my bulk the last few weeks. Current meal plan is generally;

Breakfast - 4 eggs, toast, avocado, protein shake w/ milk
Lunch 1 - chicken breast, quinoa, vegetables (pepper/toms/etc)
Lunch 2 - chicken breast, steamed broccoli, sweet potato
Post workout - protein shake
Dinner - red meat/fish/turkey, vegetables, rice/pasta
Snacks - fruit (apples/bananas/grapes), nuts (almonds/walnuts), 80% dark chocolate
Liquids - ~6-8 cups of green tea, ~4 litres of water
Supps - Multi vit, fish oil, PWO, whey, creatine, ZMA

Have added 10kgs onto both deadlift and bench, and am working on getting my (albeit still assisted) pullups to around the 3x8 range. Also switched from 5 day bro split to a push/pull/legs/rest schedule, though only been on this ~two weeks.

However, weighed myself yesterday and think I've actually lost weight. Honestly can't get my head around this. I'm eating more, can lift more, yet losing weight.

Am I missing something here?

Are you weighing consistently on the same day each week after going to the bathroom? And how much difference in weight is it? Can be water.

I'm 150 lbs now, but I'm sure I don't weigh that much.

Is that a split where you work out 3 times per week or 6? If it's 6 it could be the extra activity.

Wub - If the weight loss is less than say five pounds (for someone your size) then I would guess it's just the initial shift in body composition that has caused it and things will start to fall into place in the next week or so.
If the weight loss continues it's probably a tapeworm.

Fair. I'm going to get myself a decent set of digital scales soon anyway, not 100% trusting the ones at the gym.

Twice a week. Focus is on getting my squat weight up, leg press (horizontal machine, so can't go above 150kg which is annoying, so keeping high reps/sets on that), that one where you swing the bar down with your thigh whilst standing, leg extension and the reverse leg extension I can't remember the names of right now.

Fair enough, I'm not interesting in building my legs any more, my calves and thighs are already like tree trunks as I did a lot of walking/hiking when I was very young with my dogs.

Weak knees are only an issue when you're going really heavy providing you keep correct form, don't have the knees over the toes etc...can't speak for straps or anything though if you did want to go heavy?

It's leg day today for me. I don't have full confidence in my squats back yet so am a little worried tbh.

Gen - DOMS in my triceps is quite sufficient today..

Yeah won't be going heavy, also my form is pretty good. Think it's more mental really. Gonna give it a go for a couple of weeks of going one day a week squatting and one day of plyometrics and jumps and such. See how my body reacts.

Smith machine to go heavier if you're unsure, or keep it light and get a spotter to work on form.

What was the reason for the drop in confidence?

Another question, does anybody here do any form of active recovery after soreness? And what kind of?

If you've picked up an injury like yours, they are a safer option whilst you get your confidence back up. Downside is a tradeoff on not using your stabiliser muscles as much, and a slightly unnatural range of motion.

Hot/cold alternating shower after a heavy session I find reduces my DOMS significantly.

What's the tampon bar? The pad that goes across the back of the neck?

The long one that looks like heating pipe insulation, I guess?

BTW Gareth, actually weighed the bar last night. It does indeed weigh 10kg
