Like this? Added two more wavetables and switch to performer instead of using envelopes before. Then added some weird reverb shit and got it really loud and spacious.

Now to resample it.

That's pretty neat. I'd turn it into a wobble and give it a tad more body, something like sadhu/d-jahsta are using.

Here you go guys. For this growl i used fm8 and followed the same effects chain as before. Its a really short growl at the end of the phrase but its still cool i think. Word :corndance: :corndance: :corndance: :corndance:

Derailing the thread here a bit, but is are we gonna hear some experimental stuff from you guys soon? You're so talented, and as much as I love your brostep, I'd love to see you guys trying something innovative and new, I think you could pull it off quite well

Damn cool. Do you think you could go into more detail about how you make your growls? Mainly what your EQ's look like and what kind of settings you use on your distortion. If you could that would be awesome! :corndance:

Thanks:)
NEW SONG listen please:)

First even half-decent growls that i made. Needs more processing though…

its no masterpiece but there is some good growl content in there.

this growl was made with massive (AI and Chrome) > ohmicide > crazy exaggerated EQ > ohmicide > EQ for vowel effect > compression.

no real secret to this kind of sound....
please post a tutorial bro.i would watch the shit out of that xD

A shit ton of processing that i don't think was really needed... :u: but my goal was to have a vowel sound already in the waveform itself. I used GuitarRig5 using its Vowel filter (main idea IMO). I think people automate too drastically when it comes to vowels... So I kept it simple, little automation goes far. I will show you the best I can on what I did with my processing and how I captured this sound through 3 big Check points. Sooo, that being said here is what I used:

1st Checkpoint:
2 instances of Ohmicide distort the mid and high ends only
Vocodex used this to give it more of a gargling sounds but yet more natural and clean
Soundgoodizer gives it more 'umph' IMO but you can use a Sausage Fattener or a Maximizer
2 instances of EQ 2 one for getting your levels how you want them and one thats automated for a vowel " ooo " sound.
Massive 1.3.0 ( 1+2 oscillators using a saw -bend[or whatever you prefer] , pitch -24 for both and are both routed to filter 1 using the notch filter) Notch filter needs to have the cutoff at 9 o'clock and the res at the same. Automate the cutoff up to only up to 12 o'clock. Also you will want to automate the pitch for both osc 1+2 down to -24 using a macro in side of Massive USE ONLY SLIGHTLY. Turn the Restart via Gate ON. And compress.

Before completing steps in Checkpoint 2 you will want to have the exact notes you want for the project your working on.

2nd Checkpoint:
I exported Checkpoint 1 as a wav and dropped it in to Kontact.
Kontact 5 or up. use only the formant filter II and play with those three knobs till you have a low 'U' and 'OOO' sound. You will be only automating the Size knob in this to make the the slight movement of the vowel sounds Again USE ONLY SLIGHTLY. Add another Sausage fatterner or whatever and compress again and then export to wav.

3rd Checkpoint:
Using GuitarRig5, use the formant filter, make sure your enable the "right" or "R" on the IN button at the very top or you will have sound in only MONO. Turn the DRY/WET knob directly in the middle. Move the Sharp all the way to the right and the size all the way down to the left, and for the Talk knob you will be automating this again for the last time USE ONLY SLIGHTLY. add another Sausage Fatterner or whatever. and compress.

And there you have it.

Btw I will be updating quite often to get this sounding even better and using only one check point. Im sure recording the sound in side itself would work lol

Since I only used the vocoder as a clean up tool for the distortion, It only cuts off the messy distortion and does a sort of build up frequency giving it a clean stretched out chainsaw sound ... IMO its like using a Cutoff filter cutting off only the High end (just a tad bit) Then boost your highs afterwards.. Anything too high with distortion will kill the growl form. But like I said I will be posting updates. I will try to find an easier way to get this growl.

Btw that growl up there ^ was the first REAL growl I have ever done. Normally I like to leave these sort of things to the masters but I said Eff that on this and went for it!

Really interesting... I've never used Guitar Rig's formant tool. Would you mind reposting the growl sample? Soundcloud is telling me the track isn't available but I would love to listen to see what you came up with :4:
