Do other countries have advent calendars? If so, do they have weird shit like spicy sausage in them or something?

I've got two this year. Wanted the lego one but nobody got it me :( #fml

My mum is big on advent calendars. Me and my sis always get some really posh one with german marzipan or something in em. It's sick.

I think I'm subconsciously projecting my terror of growing up.
I just want to wake up at 6:30 watch cartoons and eat chocolate coco pops.

And naturally I want a cardboard Christmas tree filled with little chocolates.
