Whenever I see people doing the plank I have a very strong urge to kick them as hard a humanly possible, run up and everything.

idk why.

Plank seconds need to be investigated. A plank second is at least 5 times as long as a normal second.

Last time I planked down the gym the missus walked past and put a 5kg plate on my back. People were looking so I couldn't immediately stop.

Haha, when I outlasted my mate yesterday, he was pushing on my back to try and get me down, had to stay strong tho.

Desperately trying to formulate a joke about quantum mechanics here.

Yeah, Plank/Planck can't be a coincidence. Strange shit happens to time and gravity when planking.

If ever I'm between sets and my mate starts planking, I always go over and sit on his back for the last few seconds.

Just did my first shower alternating between hot and cold. (after wanting to do it for a couple of weeks but chickening out once I got under the shower  ) It surprisingly felt really great. I'll see how it affects my recovery but i've heard great things. I've trained pretty hard today and since i've recently switched up my training i've been having doms almost every, I'm curious how much doms or if i'll have any tomorrow.

I find cold/contrast showers really help alleviate DOMs, particular if I do it post workout.

So I have been fucking slacking over the last month. Working from home and generally existing in a single room for 10/14 hours a day is sapping my fucking will to live let alone work out. I need a gym buddy.

Can't wait to find it out! It feels really nice having a really cold shower and then turning up the heat.

So yeah, did legs today and moved up another 2.5kgs - forearms were burning from RDLs, only the inner side though..

Word, word. Def forearm killers. Though it doesn't compare to deadlifts + rows + curls on pull day to me haha.

Perhaps it will kick in for me on my next back day as i've been using the same weight for RDLs as normal DLs, like, that extra 2.5kgs makes the magic happen or some shit.

what's everyone doing for triceps atm?

I discovered the overhead seated tricep extensions recently and love em (I do them on an incline)

b2b dips and close grip pulldowns with the v-bar

skulls don't really agree with my elbows

I'm still on cg bench. Except now with dumbells rather than barbells. Hoping to add 12 kgs on each side by the end of this cycle on them. :0

Extensions never did much for me.

I'm not doing triceps directly atm, but in the past it's been a combination of dips, cable machine bar push downs, skulls, and that rope attachment on the cable machine (which was my favourite because of the extra squeeze at the end of the contraction).

I've seen people do that thing in the video and I just think "why? You're taking up a bench for no reason".
Is it really that different?

see, I'm the complete opposite. Close grip fatigues my arms but I never feel any isolation in the tricep

over head is a completely different movement. Also, I can't do the weight standing.

Yeah I never feel any isolation in any of the tricep exercises. Just get the most results from cg benches!
