Streamizm first hit the internet airwaves Tuesday October 3rd 2006 with myself, misery, jamella, dubsley, haywire, the brap cat and an obscene amount of red stripe setting us on a year long journey of bass. Streamizm regular Kid Cazual converted from listener to dj playing his first set in November 2006 and soon after becoming an infamous part of the Streamizm gang.
Toronto based Dubstep producers Matt Carl and XI began their own Streamizm show in November 2006, bringing the long running Canadian element to Streamizm featuring dubstep talent from North America.
Into March / April this year Streamizm first started to invite special guests to the shows, beginning with Afterdark, Alex Incyde, Cotti and Cluekid and Deapoh helping to take the show to new levels.
May 2007 saw Streamizm perform the first ever live dubstep stream from 2 rooms of a club night - Kid Cazual's Dub Police Takeover night in Brighton. A week later Streamizm were honoured to stream the first Dubstepforum.com night - Dubstep Changed My Life.
Streamizm continues to showcase talent from all over the dubstep world, from established producers to independant artists, either on the show or from live events in Brighton and London. Recent additions to the schedule include Ottawa's DZ and Bowzer, and Medway dubsters Rod Azlan, J:Kenzo and Markomen.
Over the next few months look for more live event streaming and more shows, including monthly live streams from Platform 1 @ Corsica Studios and the second Dubstepforum.com night - Dubstep Changed My Life II (THIS SATURDAY!!)
To celebrate an awesome year, an anniversary mix featuring tunes from everyone who has helped Streamizm will shortly be available on the forum. Also, look out for the Video special featuring the best clips from every show so far!!!!
Lastly a big big thankyou to the producers, dj's, promoters, labels and most of all the listeners that have made Streamizm what it is today!
