Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin - Production Contest

Couldn't find if this has already been posted or not, but I stumbled across it and thought I'd share it with you lot!

The Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has recorded exclusive loops for a remix contest. The loops come from the 3rd movement of the Symphony No. 9 in E minor by Antonín Dvořák, a 19th-century Bohemian composer. The symphony is entitled “From the New World” because it was inspired by a time when the composer stayed in America. Two worlds meet in this work: Bohemia and America – whereby Dvořák was interested not in the geographical perspectives, but rather the emotional depiction of the dawn of a better world.

Your challenge is not just to remix or rearrange the loops, but to make the classical sound material your own and develop it further in line with your own artistic ideas. A distinguished jury will select three prizewinners and the best tracks will be published on vinyl. Deadline is 31 January 2014.

It's not the usual remix comp I'd enter, but thought it would be something interesting and different to work on over the Christmas period.
