All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.

A cassette player bro! Also, my girlfriends got a CD player/radio with a tape deck too. Ain't hard to find, got a USB-compatible cassette player for about 2 quid with free shipping on ebay.

Seen these things on eBay that rip them onto your laptop, have you tried them? They're like £5 so would be handy.. assuming they rip to a decent quality.

The exact same reason you'd buy a vinyl only and rip it to mp3. Theres loads of reasons, it can't be that difficult to work out.

Mines just got a mini-USB slot and came with a cable. Literally just a plug in and record in audacity job (just make sure there's no mobile phones nearby, the amount of times I've had to record because somebody has text me in the middle :u: ). Works as a player too obviously. No issues with the quality.
m8son wrote:lol if your gonna rip to mp3 whats the point of buying a cassette release?
So I can listen to it in my car (don't have an aux in cable, so I can burn them to CD), listen to them at work on my laptop without taking a tape player in, so that if the tape fucks up, I haven't irreversibly lost the music which is basically guaranteed to be sold out. Because I'm not buying it because it's a tape, but because I like the music on it, and it's often not available in another format.

This basically.

To piss off people that can't help but ask this question whenever a tape release comes up in discussion.

Sweet I'll definitely get one then, I've wanted to put the Filter Dread - Space Loops album on my phone for ages.
