Dark/Death-Step Sounds!! (Mantis-Bratkilla-Exude-Getter)

soo for a while now ive been trying to remake this sound specifically..

it comes in at arroouuuundd 0:41 and its a hard hitting sound used in alot of darker, heavier dubstep these dayyzz

and i wondered if anyone could gimme a hand on how to create some of these monstrous sounds!

I guess the vowels are given by SugarBytes Wow Filter, you could try mess with Massive's bend -/+ on different wavetables on bandreject, and put a performer on the cutoff, and on the wavetable, also phase modulation. The metallic part is given by short delays.

It's distorted like rough math or digigrain but its still clean....

The wave form doesn't matter as much as the processing. Sounds like it's got a bit of ableton's resonators on there for that metallic sheen. Could be wrong though

yeah i know for sure mantis uses ableton but theres just something they do that makes it sound flawless

Dang dude, That sounds awesome. This is the kind of stuff I want to make. How do you make your synths that heavy? I've been trying for countless days with massive but I just can't get it and I can't find anything online.

Bratkilla uses reason and gave out a project file once, you could try and get some ideas from that if you have access to reason somewhere

for the metallic sound add a very short delay

I use in my sounds Massive (Scrap yard and Formant square(usually)) and Mixer Ohmicide

How many different bass sounds did you use for this? They sound different but they also sound like you could just be automating one?

I used a few massive patches, i made the drop bass first then the stabbing one and then i just used those to make any of the other sounds
