Nice one mate, you decided where yet?
My first choice is history at University of Glasgow, but that has high requirements so I'd be pretty lucky to get in. Second choice is social studies at Caledonian, and the requirements for that are pretty soft.

Charity, primarily ones involved in global poverty or health interventions. I do about 5% at the moment but I clear a loan I took out when I bought a house this year so that will enable me to do more.

Nice one, yeah as I said to you, Glasgow University has very high entry requirements. One really good thing about Glasgow Caledonian is it is literally slap bang in the middle of the city centre.
Glasgow Uni is about 15minutes on the bus or a few stops on the subway from the city centre. It is in the west-end though, which is very nice and posh.

- Handling my money a bit more wisely (i.e. less spending it on vinyl and putting more of it into my savings so that the prospect of moving out in the near future becomes a bit more realistic)

- I've already cut down on the weed smoking quite a bit this year but I'm thinking of maybe giving up on it completely. Not sure yet though.

Mentioned this before, but it applies to these as well;
Can't recommend a budget spreadsheet enough for this. Column for income, then a column for all outgoings inc. desired level of saving per month. Remaining value/4 is your spending money for each week.

Would also recommend a separate savings account (if you've not already got one) and a direct debit from your main account into that so you can guarantee the money is getting there. Have it on the same day or day after that you get paid, so you don't even miss it.

Cool. Go!

Seriously though ... great culture and easy to get around and talk with people -dirt cheap and very atmospheric. Restaurants that act like pubs all over (not unlike lotr or something). You feel like you are part of a film in the past. Also all the women are beautiful. I've been a few times and it's been exactly the opposite of what I heard beforehand. Not impossible to go to a good concert either. Yass is like polish folk jazz and quite common. Oh and easy to talk to hooligans :6:

Also Berlin.

Will keep Poland in mind, and for my sins I've been to Germany many times but not Berlin. So could be another potential :)

Been looking at Czech Republic as well for next year, this festival caught my eye;

http://www.creepyteepee.org/

40€ for a full pass, weird fucking electronica bands playing.

Cheap as fuck there as they're in the EU but don't use the EUR, so local exchange rates are good.
