Is Ableton better than FL studios for producing dubstep?

Post by anantpatro » Thu Jan 09, 2014 12:41 am

I have been producing music for the last couple of months on FL studios now. I use Massive ,fm8 ,Sytrus and a couple of other vsts. I have seen many people using Ableton live and the question that arises in my mind ‘Is Ableton live better than FL studios for creating dubstep?? What are the advantages and/or disadvantages of using Ableton live? :i:

It makes no difference dude. The best DAW for ANY GENRE is the one you're most comfortable with.

Read a thread on here called friendly daw wars debate or something. It does occasionally come to blows, and maybe start at the end, because the earlier discussion is outdated already. Many of the daws have seen major updates that have made them all the more similar.

But yes, Flstudio is better than Live for producing dubstep.

A puddle of vomit has more music making potential than Ableton.

Now lets all sample a puddle of vomit into our respective DAWs and make a complete song using only the DAW's native tools and the vomit sample.

I started out in FL Studio and used that for like a year before moving to Ableton, which I like better. Definitely personal preference though as everyone else has already pointed out. :D
