what's a good movie that shows London as an urban city? Something like Naked (1993) if any of you have seen that. a movie that really shows London as much as the characters involved

Anything with Danny Dyer or Noel Clarke in.

Death proof wasn't as good but still worth the watch.
Planet Terror was great imo.

I watched the Wolf of Wall Street last night. It was a good film, just not as good as i thought it would be though. It was long but i prefer long films, its just gets repetitive throughout in that its just them getting high constantly. Jonah Hill was excellent in this

The scene when Di Caprio goes to the country club to use a payphone and the pills kick in is funny as fook.
That Naomi bird is :U: It's weird watching a Scorsese film when someone doesn't get 'Wacked'.

Does it need to be a movie?? Luther shows LDN in a very urban light IMO

Anyone else seen 12 Years A Slave yet?

Saw it yesterday, thought it was amazing. Fassbender is stupidly good, as is Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Posted my opinion a few days ago but reading it back I feel it was written in the heat of the moment. i won't withdraw my comment about it not being as good as shame or hunger though. The performances are good, but it felt like Django Unchained with no Django. For example Fassbender is indeed great, but I was expecting more than a character purely driven by violence and control. Felt very one-sided to me. Maybe I should watch it a second time though, what do you think ? Maybe I just had my hopes too high ?

Prisoners

Didn't think much of it, tbh. Very long for such little pay out and largely predictable. It just seemed very shallow/superficial.

How did they not realise that Wolverine had been at the baddies yard, when his car was parked round the side/in the vicinity

anyone seen Her yet? seems promising and has been given good ratings, trailer was pretty good too.

watched perks of being a wallflower last night, was very good - really not quite what i expected. confronted a lot more issues and was darker than a typical coming of age film.

Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Not a bad movie at all.
It's fairly disjointed for some time but develops into a feel good, explorer type vibe.

Not sure what I'd rate it.
Maybe 6-7/10
