Help - do you have these sample packs ?

Post by faultier » Sat Jan 11, 2014 3:13 pm

so, long story short, i accidentally deleted a bunch of folders from my harddrive and am now hunting for some sample packs i lost in the process...

thought it might be worth trying to ask if someone has these / can direct me to a valid link where i could d/l them again, since i most probably d/l'd them from here in the first place:

- "Household_Percussion_Volume1" (i think the source for these was a site named rekkerd.org, but cant seem to find them there no more)
- "Household_Percussion_Volume2" (same as above)
- "Half-Life (samples)" (i think, can't remember the exact name, but that big ass folder with loads of sounds from half-life)
- "DMS Bundle" (it was a pack containing a lot of one-shot drum hits)

any help will be greatly appreciated

and yeah, back up your shit and don't decide to do some cleaning in your drives when hungover... :corncry:

I think that half-life one was on that massive sample pack that was available online, dark sample swap or something. Big library

The DSF sample swap thread seems to have been deleted.

Already answered this in another thread, but you can get all the sounds from all the VALVe games (HL, HL2, L4D, TF2, CS etc) by just going into the game folder in SteamApps/common now. You don't need to use GCFScape to extract them now.

Another tip for Quake 3 engine games (if somebody wanted to sample Quake 3), .pk3 files are just renamed zip files.
