Can you provide some examples of what would be more suitable 'underground music' shoes?

Nike the Disclosure of the shoe world? They've been a staple part of the footwear of underground music culture since day. I get what you're saying in terms recent rise of NB, but Nike...are you mad!

Ok, nike are more the 'deep house' of the shoe world; been around for ages and used to be good but now everyone has them not cool anymore. Some of them may look nice and on the surface appear cool but they are too mainstream for me to wear.
lol

Lol what a load of shit
Fuck what other people wear just concentrate on yourself and what you like
Worrying if 'everyone wears them' is as pretentious as it gets.
I'd rather be wearing the same pair of air max 1s as 5 other people in a club as long as I bought them cos I liked em, buying shoes just cos u want to be 'different' is fucking stupid

@ M8son
Yeah, I get what you're saying. I feel like there are levels with them though and they go through phases. Like when they became synonymous with chavs and pikeys. They were never what I call the 'classy' nike airs though, they were the shit ones that you could get cheap at Sports Direct. They do put out some terrible colourways though and can seem far too try hard, but there are definitely still the gems in there too. For as long as i can remember, I've always known people wearing Nike Air Max consistently though. It's not like they've all of a sudden got popular, they've just got a lot more popular.

Yeah but i am sure there are shoes that you would like better that don't cost as much as nikes, it works both ways i don't wear nikes cos too many people wear them a lot of people wear them cos they're the in thing atm. I bet if you went sports direct there would be some shoes there that you would rate but you wouldn't buy them would you cos they would be some wack brand.

Yeah, the price is nuts and does hurt to pay £95 for trainers. That's why it pays to be a savvy shopper and get them cheaper. Just picked up mine online for £80. Probably still too much to pay, but the sense of victory over saving £15 is a winner!
