need help with distorted bass sound

basically im trying to get this really dirty bass sound that hits at 40 secs but i cant get that kind of dirt out of anything.everything just sounds too tame or just bad and nonmusical.is it a certain effect im missing or should i do something with the source waveforms.i tried different bitcrushers and distortions on some trianlge saw wave combos

I may be totally wrong here because i'm listening through crappy headphones but to me that sounds like brass samples (tubas, horns etc) not a bass,
Maybe he tuned down the samples or distorted them but it definitely sounds like that to me and not something he just synthesized

yea it kinda does sound like theres a synth first and then the low brass comes in at 40 secs but i feel like theres some kind of distortion going on i cant get

Brass samples yeah, but not much distortion. Maybe slight, then compressed/limited. Pan out wide and I think you have it
