Hello Dubstep Forum, I was listening to an Electro House Mix and I heard this track play, it started playing at the second breakdown and at this breakdown there is a weird vocal effect. I went to see if this vocal effect was used in the original but it wasn't so clearly Space Laces has edited it. For those who want to hear this vocal effect it starts playing at 1:53. It almost sounds like paper crumpling, and it clearly isn't in the background as it follows his voice 100%. I'm just wondering whether its some weird VST I haven't heard about or some bizarre vocoder setting.

Hmmmm.... he could just have a massive patch with only paper noise on that follows whenever the voice plays?

Yeah I thought what was he did, but it's weird because I'm not sure how he made it to follow the voice EXACTLY. Maybe he vocoded it, since Space Laces likes his vocoder.

This would be down through reverse sidechaining (AKA expansion), but that doesn't sound like that's what happened here. Probably Vocodex or another vocoder.
