I have this laptop lap thing that has a fan which powers up when you plug in the usb cord into the computer. Anyhow, the fan hasn't been working for about a month now. I guess that current was running through the cord, but since the circuit was incomplete temperature built up and it lit on fire. lol

Sand Bags?

We've been getting a LOT of rain. We're about at a third of our year's rainfall in the past few days. It may end up being most of the rain we get this year.

I've tried to get bags from the council in the past. All the drainage in my area is seriously fucked from the earthquake we had a couple of years back. I'll probably fill my own sandbags before winter.

LOL

Did you hear the first colours album? Let me clue you in to how the albums development went about

John (culprate) worked ages on an experimental album in his house with limited production budget if any. I shopped it to any label that would listen but it's hard to get a non commercial album on vinyl, cd, or promoted even the slightest despite being fairly universally acclaimed. Due to lack of avenue it was released digitally only on Gradient Audio, hardly doing justice to a fantastic album. (being digital only, gradient is fantastic :P)

This is a great way for him to raise money to put legit production value, studio time, and properly release another experimental album for those that enjoyed his previous experimental bits.

For anyone who knows culprate and knows his music, imagine if he had a few months to do nothing but work on an album, access to a legit studio, and could get the shit released proper. Would be well worth it.

This isn't asking to fund his commercial releases or buy him a new flatscreen.

yeah lol wow he can produce reasonably well, I really don't see how he needs 22k, in the video he sort of breaks it down and it barely makes 10k iirc. Why can't he go about it the normal way? If his music is as good as you say surely he could find a label to release it and if he can't maybe it's not as good as you think. I think it's completely ridiculous, some mugs are giving him money though so fair play i guess.

Pkay, don't think anybody's suggesting that, I think people, myself included, are wondering how much better an album can be with 22k of backing when people just with laptops and shit monitors have made amazing albums/releases.

Nowaysj, you're right too.

And to clarify for the cynical, I'm not saying that track sucks, it is really really dope. It is just that now, everybody is dope.

Looking at this makes me wonder how a Kickstarter style campaign would work for lost/unreleased tunes for example.

Nuff ppl on here would pledge a tenner to get some old Loefah/Coki/whoever on a white i reckon.

Worked well with Be-1ne when he wanted to press some tunes up. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/10 ... yl-release but big artists really have no need for that when they can easily sell over 500.

Well maybe more something like Beat Delete then for represses of hard-to-find rekkids.

I get Mala saying 'no dmz represses ever' for whatever reason but some of the Medis seem to be repressed at random/no warning (Backwards,Dread,Changes etc)

Would combat mad Discogs profiteering too + no risk for the label if everyone pledges upfront pre-repress. Cant really see a loser (unless uve already got medi 001 or summing)
