hey all quick question. is there any way i play a sample have have a midi clip control the pitch? i know i can use the pitch wheel but that can get a bit tedious. thanks! :)

Hmmm.. As for the basic noise gate like this (at least that's what i hear, when vocals come in there is still noise on the background) Reason 7 (maybe 6 too?) has unit on every track in it's main mixer so this seems pointless for me. :?

Still really interesting technique. I wish they would make real noise reduction process available in future updates, so you wouldn't need to do that with separate audio editor.

a noise gate wouldnt remove noise while the vocals are playing. only the gaps in-between the louder sounds in the track. It seems pretty good since i tired it the other night. not much controll like but it does the job ok ish. im on reason 5 cos im a tramp so i dont have that luxury ahaaha

Yeah this works, i did it before. Be aware of the fact that the signal has been delayed by 10 ms though, so for drums it's not great.

Well it works, as long as you're aware that it delays 10ms. You could for example just use the regroove mixer's slide knob to pull it back 10 ms so it's back in time again.

But as someone pointed out, the SSL mixer from reason 6 upwards has an inbuilt gate.
