I've been thinking recently about incorporating guitar solos into my tracks. The thing is I'm having trouble making a synth guitar sound real... for obvious reasons.

So I take it you don't play?

I do, but I never record it and use it in my songs. I'm not good enough and I haven't played in awhile. I use the guitar plugin called strawberry in Kontakt which is as real as it gets... without being real.

I use a Fender Jazz Bass fretted and I also use a Fender Jazz Bass fretless.

Interesting. Fretless bass appeals to me but I can't afford one. I used to have an Ibanez SR765 or something, decent 5-string. The nut wasn't wide at all so it was really easy to play.
