This is the third time that i've watched this movie. The previous two times were on a Imax screen and that was just an breathtaking experience. But now i've bought this on blu-ray, so i didn't had the advantage of an Imax screen, but even with that in mind the movie has lost none of its power. The cinematography and sound editing are far beyond perfection and the acting of Sandra Bullock is one hell of a performance. I never thought that she could carry a movie on her own and she just did it. I'm always in love with her after seeing this movie.

But still, there are a few things that prevents the movie of getting the full score and those are the plot that is a bit useless (not such a big deal tbh) and i don't know why they're using such a big name like George Clooney and use him so little. What's the point of paying so much for him and then use him only a halfhour in the movie?

9/10

^George Clooney was fucking rubbish in it, his constant shite stories and jokes were infuriating. I guess they used him for his big name to stick on the poster to get people to go and see it.
[+] Spoiler
Was over the moon when they eventually killed him off.
Really can't imagine it being very good to watch in the house though, don't get me wrong I loved it in the IMAX in 3D, but that was all it had going for it for me, how amazing it looked. As a story it was fairly poor I thought. Characters were rubbish as well, was a good performance from Sandra Bullock, but her character was shite, felt like they made up her backstory in about 5 seconds. When she fired that bit in about her daughter out of the blue I almost laughed, it felt so forced, as if they were like, oh shit, we do actually need to give these characters some sort of story and they just made that up very quickly and crammed it in the script.

Nebraska (finally got round to it).

Pretty good, best of the indy/sundance movie lot I've seen (over the past couple of months). Really enjoyed it. Mustn't overrated it too much tough : 7,5/10.

Thor: Dark World. Wanted to see something mindless, mindless I got. 2,5/10.

I've watched Das Boot, The Experiment and The Counterfeiters recently. All very good..

'Head On' is suppose to be amazing but I haven't got around to it yet.

Head On (2004)

Cheers for this recommendation Las! Definitely worth the watch... somehow the ending didn't hit as hard as I think it was supposed to, but yeah, good way to spend a couple of hours. Nice to get a bit of a window on Turkish/Gastarbeiter life in Germany - made me think back to the last time I came close to running for my life. About 13ish on an exchange in Bavaria playing football with some random Turkish kids when a bunch of meatheads arrived and started swinging. Odd place occasionally...

Saw Funny Games. That uneasy feeling I had watching The White Ribbon was there except amplified by 100. That's the point though I guess, more of a psychology experiment than anything else.

Fear and loathing in las vegas is amazing

There's also 'where the buffalo roams' where Bill Murray plays Hunter s thompson.
Pretty good aswell. And Rum diary where it's Johnny Depp but earlier on in Hunter S thompsons career and different director. But it's more chill than the other too.

Agree.

Disagree. Murray does an okay job, but the writing is complete shite.

Terrible film adaption of an okay Thompson novel. The book itself isn't particularly long, yet they still managed to cut a load out. Would recommend the book, but avoid the film...even as a massive fan of Giovanni Ribisi and Aaron Eckhart this was painful to watch.

No, both are fine. Nothing majorly wrong.

But I see your avatar and agree anyway. it's a difficult guy to portray yet they do an interesting job of that in each film.
