Epic E piano problem
So guys,i just got a used electronic piano and will start taking piano lessons next week. But I'm having this epic lag problem when I use a USB to connect it to my laptop ~
I press a key and can literally count to 3 before a sound comes out of my speakers. I have a decent computer (windows). Is this a sound card issue, or do I need a controller or something? Help! Thanks
Re: Epic E piano problem
Are you just using the onboard soundcard for your computer? Because if so, that's at least part of the problem, but I don't know much about midi.
Re: Epic E piano problem
Do you see any indication of the DAW getting the midi signal in? Like is there also delay between you pressing the key and the DAW getting a note on message?
If so, it's highly likely that there's a problem with the piano itself.

Re: Epic E piano problem
could just be to do with incorrect buffer size settings?
