We are bringing you grimey London vibes to Berlin. Chesters will host a series of events with a cast of the Butterz label's roster, close friends and locals. Beginning April 11th with labelchefs Elijah and Skilliam for the first edition of Jamz:Berlin!
Forming a friendship through a mutual appreciation of Grime music that soon turned into a scrupulous and avant-garde approach to the genre’s output, Elijah and Skilliam have quickly established a reputation for themselves within, and way beyond the underground movement. With a Rinse FM residency spanning over five years, and an edition in their legendary compilation series (Rinse:17), performing across Europe and the U.S they are credited as starting a new wave of artists, nights and labels flourishing in London and beyond.
The Jamz party concept started a year ago in a small basement in London with Elijah & Skilliam as the residents, playing alongside friends and family all night long. Guests have included Slimzee, Plastician, Logan Sama, Spooky and countless more that you can listen back to on their lively Soundcloud page: https://soundcloud.com/jamzclub. Acting as an offshoot of their successful label venture Butterz which helped launch talents such as Swindle, Royal-T and Flava D in recent years, Jamz takes things back to basics: Grime, UK Garage, House, Party Vibes and great DJs in intimate spaces.
Touching down in Berlin, Jamz plans to bring regular guests from the UK to Chesters, mirroring what we are doing in London so you hear the freshest club music first!
