A Made Up Sound (aka 2562)

Post by pacomari » Sat Oct 06, 2007 1:08 pm

People feeling the crossover with some minimal techno are going to shit their pants with this.

An amalgamation of dubbed out garage rolls and minimal clicks 'n whirls that create a sparse yet strangely dense couple of songs that has left me screaming for MOAR! So I went and checked the 2542 ep and it's fucking braw in all!

Out to Dave Huismans the man behind them both, give us more! :Q:

--edit.

Grammar.

Always thought it was 2562 innit
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

i actually has a listen to this the other day, also been opening my mind to minimal techno, I guess I was kinda scared of it at first as I know nothing about techno, i need some kind of techno history mix to listen so I can appreciate the roots.

you should check some of the rhythm & sound and listen to some of their stuff, dubby minimal\techno sounds with an atmospheric feeling, it sounds like this techno-ish side of 2562 and some other producers doing some hybrid tunes btw these two genres, just strip down the dubstep and its all rhythm & sound\burial mix crew.

Into the dubstep modernity (area) you should check Martyn and Cyrus latest album as well (From The Shadows).
But definitely the whole entire Skull Disco crew, Peverelist, Pinch and 2562 himself are top notch producing some crossover tunes, but i absolutely believe that soon there will appear some more artists doing some great music, if Maurizio or even Deep Chord (for instance) should step out to the plates and decide to do some stuff... it will be fucked!
