Image-Line Products: seasonal discounts?

Post by OfficialDAPT » Mon Apr 14, 2014 2:57 pm

Just wondering if Image-Line has like a seasonal discount that they do every year that I don't know about. I'm looking to buy Harmor, but it's pretty expensive at full price ($150.00).
7 year old BROstep/Trapstep/Chillstep producer from India. Young. Talented. 7 Years Old. Super skilled for age. Signed to NOW22. Biography written in 3rd person on soundcloud OBVI. The next Skrillex. Wait I don't even like him anymore LOL. Super talented. Only 6 years old.

Yes they do, its never a set time but iv seen them sell all their plugins at $45 each last year.
I got harmor cheaper when it came out but was still over 100 which IMO is still too much.
Also lol @ your sig, i get "3rd person" inboxes just like that from soundclouders (so its not just their profiles) :6:

I was never that excited by Harmor personally, but I got it on some deal as well. Its cool to throw in sometimes...but...meh...I dunno. I tried using it for 3-4 months when I first got it and never got into it. I tend to like bread and butter synths more than specialty ones when it comes to software. Its kind like Razor in that it tends to do a few things really well. Unlike Razor I dont like the sounds it makes lol.

I don't even know what to say... that's just a whole new level of unnecessary. :u:

$45!!! That would be crazy. Ok now I'm definitely waiting to buy it.

I downloaded the demo last week and I was pretty suprised at how good it sounded with minimal tweaking to be honest. I also like the resampling and modulation matrix aspects too. Some let downs that I have noticed are the filters and FX section. I can see what you mean by comparing it to razor though. I really don't like the sounds that come out of razor, but I can't really put my finger on why. Personal preference I reckon.

^Yea. Exactly. Don't get me wrong...for me Razor totally has a sound...its really great for...shit...I dunno...like bro-steppy, modern electro type stuff. But I like kinda fucking with those sounds and putting them in unusual contexts. So I've been digging Razor (also got it for 25 USD recently with an NI deal + 25 dollar gift card I had from buying something else).

I'm not really hating on Harmor. I just don't get along with it personally.

Agreed i really dig sytrus, harmor sounds kinda bad the moment you try to push things further (though i have made a few decent patches maybe)
Also all the long resampling that Seamless etc do in all the Harmor videos never sounds good to my ears, distorted as hell rather :?
