Hey,
I'm new to this forum so no hating please. I'm basically looking to see what people use to program drums. I would like to be able to 'play' individual samples on my midi keyboard using (hopefully) a vsti that can assign samples from my own sample library to each key. I can then edit the midi notes in my DAW. Is this a thing? If so are there any decent free ones? I'm sick of creating 4 bar loops out of 1 hits. I want to more creative.
Thanks in advance,
Kerr.
Noob question - drum samplers/sequencers?

NI battery 3 is what i use, but it's not free, but I'm sure there is a way to get it for free (pirate bay). or if your using Ableton like i do just drag in a drum rack
