Echoi - Unknown Entity - (141bpm Roller)

Post by Echoi » Thu Feb 20, 2014 8:04 pm

Evening all, got me a spot of time off from working so knuckled down and put this together, quite a steppy up tempo sort of track, hope you enjoy...

nice tune, i think the stabs are a bit too sharp for my liking, maybe some rhodes-y stuff would work better
absolutely loving the bassline and drums, good job

I really enjoyed it. Especially that varied percussion work. But it seems like these stabs are overfilling the song at some points.

The stabs keep the track together, but have to agree that they sound too sharp at times
The drums though :W:

listened to this on soundcloud earlier. the percs are definitely spot on, every element seems to cut through nicely. some parts of the stabs could be turned down a bit but i don't really think it's overpowering. big up bro, you've got big tracks on your SC

percuss and low end sound nice.. really digging it. But I definitely agree that the stabs can be a bit much at points.

Thanks everyone, have played back with my AKG's and am not hearing where the stabs are too harsh, had a pretty good idea of where they might be, where they are pitched up somewhat, but not overpowering to me.

Yea I'm still about, just haha. I will certainly sort you out a copy, when I have one that is, have just moved down to London, had to leave all my gear about 100 miles away :(

Plus my studio computer was blue screening like mad before I moved :( :( , so when it's picked up and repaired, I will gladly send it over.

Class tune! Sub and drums are tidy nice flow. Stabs sound fine to me, adds to the movement well

Oh my. Very subtle way to build in the first few seconds. But chilling. The drum kicks are fierce. The way you complement them is so crisp. The progression is brilliant. @ around 3:00 that sequenced transition is butter. You're giving everything the proper amount of time and pacing to deliver a rich sound that evolves very well. The outro is exceptional too. There are so many elements that tie in and you make them all work seamlessly. Impressive work Echoi.
