So, listening to house tracks like "All I Ask of You (with Penny)" by Skrillex, the claps/drums behave rather...differently.
As in, it sounds like there's a sort of prelude to just before each clap downbeat, like a flam almost, hard to explain, but does anybody know how to produce this desired sound? Mostly just the claps and all, once tried adding hihats just before the downbeat for this sort of effect but to no avail.

Reverse your clap sample, shorten the envelope, reduce the volume & downpitch by ~200 semitones, then line it up so the reversed transient bleeds into the actual transient of the clap.
