lol @ vengance
layer multiple to get close to the sound you're after
then use compression and eq to polish it off
it's enjoyable to design them tbh use free sample packs
do it when you can't think of an idea for a track

Re: In need of a Huge Clap & Snare
Contact vengeance and ask them for your download links? At$100 a pack, they better offer up some decent customer service.
Also, what sco said. Learn to layer. You don't need a ton of samples layered together just the right ones. Most times a sold snare with a decent clap and some proper EQ is all you need.
There's tons of free samples out there. Go find em.

Why dont you make your own. The key is to layer, pan for width, and getting the right processing chain.

Yeah, i was giving the benefit of the doubt seeing as its not difficult to find them for free again. If thats how he got them in the first place.mromgwtf wrote:>implying anyone here actually bought their vengeance sample packs
Re: In need of a Huge Clap & Snare
Was listening to a track last night that sounded like a bit crushed 909 clap then pitched down to stretch the transient a bit. Not tried it yet but thought I'd share here, get some reverb on that and you're laughing!

Re: In need of a Huge Clap & Snare
Ye they do sound over processed before you even do anything to them. you have to kind of sandwich them in between all your sounds and its a ball ache. plus they are all cheesy and silly.sco wrote:yesmromgwtf wrote:What do you mean? Re: In need of a Huge Clap & Snare
You just lack experience. They are extremely useful, if you know how to use them. But still, I often use the 909 snare if I want to get that precise 200 hz punch, because most of the vengeance samples are focusing on the high end.Sinestepper wrote:Ye they do sound over processed before you even do anything to them. you have to kind of sandwich them in between all your sounds and its a ball ache. plus they are all cheesy and silly.sco wrote:yesmromgwtf wrote:What do you mean?
