808 Hiphop snare rolls
I'm interested in creating some snare rolls similar to all the new hip hop i keep hearing i know its just a matter of placing them in piano roll as i am using fl studio but does anyone have any tips for this so far i haven't achieved exactly what i am after
Re: 808 Hiphop snare rolls
place a snare on 4th beat on fl sequencer. go into piano roll. click snap tool (looks like magnet), select 1/3 step. zoom in. really zoom in. grab the slice tool. chop up the note. pitch it up and down to taste. put on a snapback. christen yourself trap god. roll out
alternatively don't do any of this since by the time you get good the trend will have moved on and no-one will like snare rolls.

The use of panning works wonders with your snare rolls.

Load it up in a traditional sampler (rather than drum sampler) that way you can switch pitch during your roll, sounds sick fr that sik TrVp sounds
