i do a music course at uni (BSc audio technology) n i dont really rate it as ive said on numerous occasions. I haven't covered a thing i ever want to have to do again in my life

anyways... i was thinking after uni cus i want to do something completely different, i would probably have to do an intern. Obviously this is pretty hard cus they're shit pay/no pay and normally in cities, so being able to survive is pretty long. Then i got an idea of trying to sort one out now for september and just doing it while at uni... you still get your full student loan regardless of if you ever show up, and yeah id fail my degree, but id have a year experience in something id actually be interested in doing and a possible job.

so yeah, i could find one in bristol thats hopefully like 6 months to a year and still be financially pretty okay

it sounds good in my head, but a lot of things do

if i couldn't find one id just stick my course out and accept ill probably only get a 2:2/3rd

what u guys reckon? i wanna do like digital marketing or something similar - anything within those kinda areas id be cool wid. also, any of you guys done internships? what they sayin? any advice n ting

remember that you have to pay your loan back and then obviously tuition fees and everything else.
even if you get an internship and can live relatively comfortably you'll be loosing loads of money
all the bullshit youve been through the last two years aswell would have meant nothing. its a nice idea but i think ud regret it

i was thinking that too but then i realised that if the bullshit i went through changing degree, applyijng for mitigating circumstances etc. was for nothing id have wasted so much time and money

Finish your degree but try and do both at least try and get part time work somewhere doing something you enjoy.

a third class degree and a first class degree mean the same thing to 99.9% of employers (only mildly important for first job), Just having a degree is often a box to tick, then not thought about again, ever.

can't you do some part time internship thing? this way you can do both. like do as little as possible of both, but enough to count/pass

That's what I'm doing. Although I'm starting as a runner, so won't be doing a lot of actual
studio work in the beginning. Not sure about what it pays yet, wasn't my main concern.
To start off, I'll take any studio/audio job anyway.

you don't want a 2:2/3rd man, for one even if you don't feel your course you've slightly wasted 4 years by not finishing it properly, it'll be bad for your cv too
