for the dubstep scene obviously. along with better standard of living and more opportunities, better government, etc. but 90% because of dubstep. really just london tho. don't think i'm talking about the birmz garth.
You would want to be a different nationality for a music scene that is obviously coming to an end? LOL. You know you don't need to show a passport to enjoy dubstep yeah?

Fuck London on the real though. Can't think of many more places that I'd rather not live in than London. Not a par to the people that live there, the place just vexes me.

As for the better standard of living/more opportunities/better government, I'm sure I'm not the only British person in here that's baffled by that statement. :cornlol:

gareth just give it up, you're part of the crowd that slates america for shallow musical taste and our shitty government and then when someone turns around and says yeah yuh know what i'd prefer the uk, you contrarianize yet again, no surprise, and put down your own country. i wouldn't expect anything else from you other than telling me that i'm wrong no matter what the fuck i say.
[+] Spoiler
i don't have time to go into all the particulars right now but the uk has a better standard of living in soooo many different ways. education for one (although i'm almost done), healthcare, public transportation, not having a ridiculous government that doesn't believe in global warming, other public services, more lenient/liberal views towards things like drugs, etc. i really like the british mentality and their attitudes towards things. eg there's that stereotype about british people being pessimistic/depressed/gloomy but really they're just down to earth imo and not falsely optimistic like americans who always think "everything's going to be perfect" when it's not. plus i believe that middle/upper-class foreigners have a distinct advantage in life no matter what country they move to. lower-class immigrants, obviously not.
[+] Spoiler
also yes i would really like to be more involved in dubstep. i don't care if that sounds childish to you. not just going to nights (but definitely going to nights too :D ) but also producing, business even, DJing, etc. i would love to work for a record label as a producer or as a business person or whatever i don't give a shit. i love the whole culture of music in london and the way things operate in this genre. the whole concept of dubs and labels and shit. that doesn't exist at all over here. i know people who run a small edm record label over here and they just wanna release shit and put it on beatport and they're done. no concept of dubs, vinyl, how that relates to DJs and the people who run the labels. and living in another continent from where 99% of dubstep takes place puts you at quite a disadvantage. and if it's not dubstep then it's whatever comes next. same producers, same vibe. I like what came before dubstep (garage, dnb). I'm sure I'll like what comes after it.

I can always move back too. I doubt I would stay there permanently lol. All my family and friends are in the US I'm sure I'd want to come back eventually but after college I without a doubt wanna take an adventure to london and give it a shot.
Sorry for the paragraphs, And I'm not like pissed off at you or anything but your never-ending contrarianism is annoying af tbh. :w:

I wish people would stop saying that tbh.

Pussy.

Opportunities especially lol. If, and only if, they aren't the same the US is better in that respect imo.
London's got the best public transport system I've ever seen tbh, so if that's important to living standards for you, it's a start.

See while I think London is largely over rated it's funny seeing Gareth slag it off when he's in Birmingham. A place I don't think I'd ever live in for anything.
