i just wanna learn about the history of all hc music, not like shit documentary "and then rave bore jungle" shit, like what lables made the difference. who was the tempa or big apple for garage and grime and dnb and jungle? who were the producers that were invovled in the change and i'm looking at this chart and it made me wonder.

also been wondering that for ages tbh.

In dnb's case I'd say labels like metalheads and renegade hardware et. al.

Off the top of my head these were the biggest garage labels

Social circles - jason kaye form ordinary people's label
Locked on
Ice cream records - the two guys from double 99 and rip productions's label
prolific - mj cole's label
Talkin loud - not really garage but mj cole released a lot on it, norman jays label
Bug records - ramsey & fen's label. one of my favourite labels
Nice n ripe - grant nelsons label. this was the seminal label
Outlaw records

then grime labels
most of the biggest releases where white labels or self released

bingo beats - but a lot of that was breaks cos it was zincs label
