i always thought of 727 as 'other' percussion in a beat, like wouldnt use it on its own but as an extra set of sounds that complement the other tr seires

Plan is to use it synced with the 707 for a full range of drums & perc.

Having fiddled with the Volca Keys a bit...I could recommend it...pretty useable...some will probably find its sound palette limited...as it will certainly only go so far...but as part of a more extensive setup I can see it finding it's place. For 110 USD I now have an analog synth that can do chords with saw wave or square wave with ring mod. Not that the analog part even matters that much. It can get pretty spacey/psychedelic...I found an analog delay pedal for 29 USD...so double delay on the chords I am messing with. Its like...trippy...man...

Love my Keys, thinking to get the Bass as well to compliment the battery side of things.

I would be willing to try the Bass as well, but as I've already got the MeeBlip Anode it seems somewhat redundant. I think at some point we will probably see more used Volcas for around 100USD. If I can pick up a Beats for that I am in. I also have a feeling that some day I am going to knob twist the Anode to death...the build quality is a bit sketchy as far as the knobs go.

I had forgotten you were building that battery powered, portable setup. The Volca Series pretty commercialized that idea eh? You rocking any guitar pedals in that setup? I recently came across two dark, gritty analog delays that are sub 50USD that I love...you can't really feed them big "chord-y" patches w/o some distortion...but for the money they add a great amount of depth.

Yep Senns are ultra-duper comfy. At least the high end ones with the velour pads. My 595s just float on my head.

Realized I messed up the image links, fixed now

Oh shit, had an idea like this. I use my desk to feel low end now that I sold my sub. My 770's do the same thing, not so much as hearing the sub, but I feel them, feel them shake with the sub.

Theyre shit those cases tho, the shruthi uses the same, cracks easily, and has sharp edges. Not exactly fatal, but not great for twiddling.

that said, the ambika is a wonderful synth. Id just get a better case made.

Mates (supposed) to be coming up this weekend, with tr808, tb303 and andromeda ! :h:

Heh, had an aquintance who planned an exotic wedding (I think it was on some French/Dutch island with a big butterfly farm..St. Martin?). The couple got pissed when even close family members RSVPd they werent coming. The guests had to pay for flights, hotels etc. It would have been crazy expensive for me to even get there. It would have cost what I spend on five vacations to get there, go to the wedding, stay the night and leave the next day. It was like...yo...do that shit on the honeymoon! Guess the wedding ended up consisting of the parents and a few siblings.

I thought the whole point of having a wedding far off somewhere was to keep family from being able to make it...

Dont ask me. I think weddings are totally rediculous in almost all aspects. I see all these young people I know going into debt, spending the down payment on a house for one fucking day of their lives that wont matter to them six months later...
