Tbh it's less the actual rules/regulations they impose on us that annoys me more the principle of how these unelected men in some country far away can dictate to us how much tax we have to pay.

It's a series of recommendations from an advisory board. The UK government is well within its rights to ignore them completely.

Same way getting a cast put on a broken leg costs the NHS the same whether you're unemployed or a millionaire, but one group still has to pay more NI. Not gonna get into a flat tax/tax the rich more debate here though, I know better

Nah man fair enough, I understand national insurance as a % of salary but didn't know council tax was based on house value. When I get rich imma live in a 1 bed flat and buy loads of cool shit. Bun getting a big house if they're gonna rinse me
