I have a friend who used to drink cough syrup for the DXM in it. I don't know about heart conditions, but extended use causes brain damage iirc. It's not the same, but I understand that it's similar, seemed pretty safe during the time he was taking it. I gave him a lot of stick for it though hahaha

lol you won't die from codeine. and having a heart condition would not make taking it more dangerous. if anything it might help the symptoms of certain heart problems.

the only way you'd die from codeine is if you mixed it with a fuckload of alcohol and other downers, so don't do that.

it's no less safe than any other opiates (pretty harmless unless you're mixing with alc, benzos, etc, aside from how dependent people can become)

I may be making this up but you can only get via perscription as over here (atleast uk) they deliberately mix it with paracetamol (cocodamol) for over the counter use so you cant abuse it, cos the para will majorly fuck you up.

Yeah that's true. I've seen codeine cough syrup on online stores but in the actual UK stores the only over the counter stuff is cocodamol pills
