My Year of Rebellion

Post by karmacazee » Wed Jun 18, 2014 9:07 pm

Posted this last night, but the glitch in the matrix deleted it :/

Anyway, for the last year of my life me and wife have been heavily involved in the activist movement in the UK. We recently made a little video documenting our year of resistance and rebellion.

I'm sharing it on here because I always share anything I make on here, and regardless of what you all think of the issue (not actually seen a Fracking thread on here) I hope you can enjoy the tune I made for the video, and take something away from the message of the video.

My wife made the video, and is the one in the red top getting arrested at the start of the video. I took a lot of the pictures and produced the tune. It has fat bass. :corndance:

It's called Pause for Thought as it has a section that you really need to pause to get the info out of it. Not great for epileptics though :p

Anyway, would be cool to get a discussion going on here about it.

Why was that not in the video? If you feel so strongly against it to actively rebel shouldn't you be telling people and trying to educate them instead of just a slideshow of tents and cops. Just looks like you've gone to a festival tbh.

Mason has been #1 worst person for some time now  Jesus christ.

I haven't seen the video tbh, I'd organize a god damn protest against that guy though haha.

Cost these companies hundreds of thousands of pounds, had landmark court cases and legal battles regarding the right to protest and what the police can arrest you for, made friends with some really important people, journalists and politicians, been in the national press several times and helped turned the tide of public opinion on the issue.

Also raised several thousand pounds for charity, made some awesome friends and got loads of gigs out of it.

:t:

What have you achieved? Let me guess, you won Troll of the year in the 12 and under category?

:corndance: Let's dance MOFO

You have to pause the video on the really fast bit to see all that. It's why it's called Pause for Thought :)

Fair enough, I did pause but it still wasn't completely clear what you're rebelling against and why.

Hmmm, OK, maybe should make it a bit more obvious at the start. Got some showings of this coming up so may have to add a little more info at the start of the vid if it's not immediately apparent.

Comes off as a joke now that I read it again..
