moral question...
Answer me this then since we all need a purpose to post threads…
This has been bothering me for years now…years and years….
Had a friend - She was part of a couple who was "our" best friends - long time ago…
They were about to move to Texas -
and so she went ahead to work out a apt since it was her old town…
Myself and my Boi at the time were visiting my parents for 2 weeks…
So we let her boyfriend - our very good friend
- stay at our place while we were out of town…
When we got back - another friend grabbed us first and told us
- that our friend had cheated and had a big hickie on his neck…
What do British people call them? Love Bites…something
Sure enough - this was true…
Now - We all talked about how to handle it…
and the guys all determined that it was his mess, and his issue and to just let it be.
So our female friend returns and another girl immediately tells her what happened…
Then she comes to me and asks was it true - and I said Yes - He had a hickie…
and she wanted to know why I didn't tell her
and I couldn't answer…
and she left and wasn't really my friend anymore.
I think my answer was - That I really didn't know fully what happened….
and I didn't want to level life crushing news without being 100%.
You will win a free jersey if you can tell me how I should have handled that.
The jersey will have my name on it.

Jokes aside, if you weren't 100% sure, you couldn't possibly accuse someone of cheating. Sounds like she just wanted to have someone to blame for getting cheated on.

No matter what u did u would have pissed off one gender group of friends by the sound of it, fuck em.
Re: moral question...
Personally, I think that you should have told her that her man was cheating. But now you can only play clean up. Tell her that you were confused and didn't know what to do. If you can tell her this face to face, then do. Remember it's the mans actions which caused the problem, not yours. If she is an understanding and logical human than I can not see any reason why she wouldn't understand your reasoning.

The more you can stay out of other people's love lives the better. Be there for your friends but don't meddle, if they're both your friend dont take sides and don't spread gossip.
Nothing good ever comes from getting involved in other people's fucking.

Re: moral question...
Imo, fuck her tbh. If she can't be your friend when something that has nothing to do with you comes up, imagine how things would've panned out if you had genuinely needed her.
Just wanted someone to blame. Her boyfriend's infidelity had nothing to do with you imo, wasn't your place to be telling her about it.
Be a friend, not a spy.

The whole scenario is fairly 13 yo. Just by being within that scenario, you've already sort of lost, there will be no totally clean options. Better management of your scenarios will lead to better outcomes.

Can't manage a scenario which you aren't involved in tbf. Which renders your point mute.

Re: moral question...
It was really shocking - It was absolutely the behavior of 13 yr. olds...
We were all sort of stunned at it even going down…
I think that was part of the paralyzing effect…you get me

Re: moral question...
You're framing this as though it was a wrong to be righted, when in reality it's possible that it was somewhat inevitable and that perhaps her/their departure was ultimately for the best.

Re: moral question...
That was part of my issue…
If he wanted to break from her…He needed to just do it...
Instead of making a big scandal that someone else would break it for him…
They did mend it and move - but it didn't last a year.
Looking back on it - I do believe he wasn't well.
I think he was shacking up with people as needed...
