Don't you think that contradicts your last post? It's a bit like complaining that rock music uses too many guitars and riffs. Know what I mean?Harkat wrote:That too. Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Well his last point was about people needing to make and listen to music that they enjoy, there he disses what people are making on the grounds that he doesn't enjoy it. If the two posts are to remain consistent you would do well to infer that he doesn't like their music even though they made it because they enjoy it.

shit jokes aside
try not to fucking set up people all the time with you questioning jesslem
you are not a police officer
and rarely does it infer what you are trying to point out, usually it's a negatively angled idea on your part imo
and this is the same, instead of discussing something your focus becomes trying to make it look like harkat is being hypocritical with something he said

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Al Jezeera journalists sentenced to 7 years in Egypt shouldn't be surprised nor the world outraged at Egypt's actions.
Egypt believes Al Jezeera's backers support the Brotherhood
and the Brotherhood and Egypt's current government are enemies.
The reporters were seeking the Brotherhood's point of view,
i.e. potentially promulgating a view inimical to the government.
The reporters should, logically, have been expected to be sanctioned.
They took the risk that they wouldn't be and were wrong.
Further outcomes rest with what Egypt sees as in its best interest.

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Well he is being hypocritical. To be more clear though, I say they made it because they liked it because Harkat doesn't like it, which means that it wasn't made for him and in a logically binary system, if it isn't one thing it's the other.hubb wrote:shit jokes aside

I actually agree with the part about making and listening to music that you enjoy though, just don't think the second one compliments it.
What was your question, hubb?

I'm not talking about making music. I'm talking about talking about making music.
By the time you're talking about making music it's an academic discipline anyway.
And furthermore, fuck you.

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
I'm saying it wasn't hipocritical at all.
Some people that are into music can read intentions from the way the music is presented or from what elements are used, what references are made etc
Saying something like hi- hat rolls are overused is not the same thing as not liking it.
He's expecting variety, and the fair basis for expecting that is probably music put into a historical context, that he has actually listened to, right?

Yeah Jess, of course producers are free to do as they please, I just think theres a tendency to aim for achieving certain things with the beats today, and I think those certain things are a bit shit.

Also, in saying that "hats are overused" aren't you complaining about them? Given that it is at least uncommon to complain about something you enjoy I think it's fair to say that you'd be expressing a resentment towards the use of hi hats.
