Re: Earthquakes triggered by FRACKING wastewater in Oklahoma
I an 80s movie, mason's house would be destroyed by an earthquake caused by fracking.
I only just realized this.

You would play the role of 'tnuc' in that same movie.

I think fraking in England will really show If it causes earthquakes, because they never occur here.

Why do we have to wait for an earthquake…
How about…getting mad because of...
toxic waste water being pumped back into our undergrounds?
- they call that proper disposal?
I call bullshit on that premise alone…
They need to pursue ACTUAL clean energy.
...yadda yadda - head exploding some more...

Indeed, I support turning all of England into an environmental experiment.rockonin wrote:I think fraking in England will really show If it causes earthquakes, because they never occur here.

Well Mr. environmental governor or whatever his name is actually fully supports fracking in the countryside
hopefully it gets approved and we will see once and for all

Re: Earthquakes triggered by FRACKING wastewater in Oklahoma
Fracking is being done in countries without natural earthquakes all the time.
I didn't think I would actually have to say this, but yes it causes earthquakes
Dutch government/companies have already paid a sizable sum to cover damages caused by it.

Re: Earthquakes triggered by FRACKING wastewater in Oklahoma
The trouble with earthquakes is they tend to weaken and break things, especially stuff like underground gas pipes and well casings....
Also, earthquakes are the least worrying thing about Fracking. The whole process is barmy.
