The panned percussion every now and again isn't for me really, and a lot of the percussion seems pretty washed out (like around 2.08). The repetitive kick kinda seems a bit out of place, I'm imagining it in a hardstyle tune, not a dubstep remix of a roots tune.
Not 100% convinced by the bass either as it's quite droney and I don't associate reggae with a droney bass. Gunshot has an awesome bassline so maybe you could try and incorporate that kinda bass?

I think the tune is alright but I don't think it does the original justice yet

nice side chain action going on between the kick & sub, but i'm not too sure on the percussion delays and the randomness of it all. i'm sure if you rearranged a couple of things and took a few sounds out it would be pretty decent to my ears. i also agree with riddles on the perc at 2:08 - i didn't know what he was on about until i listened to it again. defo an element you need to bring back up in the mix!
