Re: First World Problems
I would totally make less instant coffee and more gourmet shit if it didn't take a whole 4 minutes longer.

Re: First World Problems
agree with riddles on the coffee. dead rats, instant coffee is terrible stuff no matter how fancy the advertising would have you otherwise believe. get yourself a french press at the very least and have a good cup of real coffee to start the day.

Friends, I know this. I have both a French press and one of these Espresso Maker bad boys, and instant coffee tastes like poopoo, but it's the process. I'm so used to it. I can't be hanging around waiting for things to boil.soronery wrote:agree with riddles on the coffee. dead rats, instant coffee is terrible stuff no matter how fancy the advertising would have you otherwise believe. get yourself a french press at the very least and have a good cup of real coffee to start the day.
Will try from tomorrow though, which me luck

put the water onto boil as soon as you get up before you get in the shower or take a dump. i put mine on as soon as i get downstairs in the morning, so by the time i've gotten showered, dressed, had breakfast and cleared up, it's ready to have.

I find the process of making a cup of coffee quite therapeutic, dunno why, probably addiction.

What's the difference between brown and white sugar? I know the obvious answer, but is there a technical one?Johnlenham wrote:I have a tassimo thing thats pretty good but this stuff is nice for having it done and ready before work, bash a few teaspoons in with some brown sugar and its lovely.soronery wrote:put the water onto boil as soon as you get up before you get in the shower or take a dump. i put mine on as soon as i get downstairs in the morning, so by the time i've gotten showered, dressed, had breakfast and cleared up, it's ready to have.
I could easily look for this on Google but it's not the same.

Re: First World Problems
dead rats, simple answer is that brown sugar has had molasses added whereas white sugar has not. both have been refined to an extent. raw sugar looks similar to brown sugar but has not been refined and comes straight from the pressed sugar cane.

So it's quite easy to palm off Brown sugar as Raw sugar if you don't say anything?soronery wrote:dead rats, simple answer is that brown sugar has had molasses added whereas white sugar has not. both have been refined to an extent. raw sugar looks similar to brown sugar but has not been refined and comes straight from the pressed sugar cane.
Does molasses affect the taste in anyway? I always assumed white sugar to be the most 'unhealthiest' one, which I realize is stupid in it's own right.

Re: First World Problems
brown sugar tastes more treacly
