The Palestinians are committing a double war crime. They are shooting lethal rockets targeting innocent civilian populations, from within their own civilian population, and using them as human shields.

They use civilian homes, schools, hospitals and mosques, for hiding and launching these rockets.

Israel goes out of its way to warn civilians residing in houses of terrorist leaders, that the house is about to be hit, providing them time to save their lives, all this in order to minimize civilian casualties.

On the other hand Hamas is on record for encouraging their own civilians, women and children to remain in those homes and/or congregate around them, deliberately and cynically using them as human shields.

The Hamas is directly responsible for the killing of it's own people by using them as human shields.

The question of how many Palestinians deaths therefore needs to be pointed directly to them, as they're completely responsible for those deaths.

If they would not be shooting rockets at innocent civilians from within their own civilian populations, *no one* there would be getting killed right now.

The Palestinians were given billions of dollars, that they could have used to build a prosperous and civil society. Instead, Hamas spent that money in turning Gaza into a terrorist state, publicly committed, to the destruction of the state of Israel.

At the risk of sounding like a booji fuck, Whole Foods' house brand lemon hummus (only $2.39) is fucking delicious.

When you follow the money it seems like it'd be really hard to fully divest from giving money to Israeli - HP, Apple, Motorola, Intel, McDonald's (who I already boycott for other reasons), Volvo, Pampers, Skype, Microsoft, Victoria's Secret, Coca Cola, Starbucks...



Mind you there's good reason not to buy many of these already without the Israeli Apartheid angle (cough cough COCA COLA), but still - quite a list. And what's really interesting is the total lack of mainstream Palestinian products - there are none that I can find. Either they're completely lousy at international business (not likely) or they're actively being economically smothered by their own lack of organization and external pressure.
