i'd much rather sell the shitty crate digger flea market records i have i'd be happy just to get rid of em for any price
yeah i get that
but at the end of the day, the music's not that good (at least in the case of rusko) and you don't really listen to it anymore so...

What the fuck

After I told her that pulling the choke to 3000RPM and riding the clutch like a skateboard was the best way to fuck it up.

Oh well, new clutch is 50€ and the engine is so light I can pull it myself at home and change the pressure plate with a few hours of free time.

But still, it was, like, the fourth time she was driving it, how does one manage to do this ?

My nuclear go-kart deserves better than this :x
Tell her she can't drive it again until she's learnt how to do a hill-start... :u:

Yeah it's either that or she buys herself a god damn diesel.

Pretty sure she got her license cuz she was wearing a skirt

To be fair though, cold starts on a 1.6 petrol are pilot business, specially early in the morning. But why she used the gas pedal when the choke was already pulled all the way is beyond me.

Honestly, some petrol cars are jittery as fuck. I definitely like driving manual, but you regret it as soon as your in a traffic jam on a highway in south germany or something. Basically a day of hill starts

Rats have decided it was a good idea to eat the wiring in my engine bay as well as some wiring under my dashboard.
I had to tow my car in this morning because it couldn't even start.
Now I wait for the bill :(

stupid fucking laws about sickness absence from work :u: :u: :u:

So I get really ill on thursday, stay home friday. My parents, who've both been in the fuckin workforce for 30+ years tell me something like "Well, you have three days of being absent before you need a doctor's note". So I of course go with that.

Well, today rolls around and I stay home. So that makes 4 calendar days. So I need to find out wether the law is three work days or three calendar days. Turns out it's calendar days, but the company in question can decide how long you can be absent without a doctors note. So I call up my superior to ask if I need a doctors note. He says I do, because temps can't "self report" sickness. So I couldn't have self-reported even if I'd been at work today. At this point it's too late/inconvenient to go all the way to my doctor and fix this shit, but you can go to "Legevakten" (the emergency building I guess), which is open 24/7 and get a doctors note there. OK.

So I go downtown in the supernatural dry ass heat, that makes me feel like battered shit in my state and go to the emergency. Lady there tells me the queue is 5-6 hours long, so she hands me a paper with instructions on how to get to this other hospital where I can also get a doctor's note. So I take the bus and 30 min later I'm in there. Now the receptionist lady here tells me the emergency/hospital can't give me any kind of retroactive doctor's note for the days I've already been ill, only my "regular doctor" (dunno wtf you call this in english) can do that.

So then I google the laws for that and it turns out I would have needed to give some kind of notice anyway from the first day I was absent to claim that shit.

Never having delt with this shit before, how the fuck was I supposed to know any of this shit.

Bottom of my backpack was sticky and left some sort of gooey nastiness on the arse of my trousers after walking into work. Opened up to find a banana has liquified all over my shit. :(

Weird, the uk you can self certify for 7 days, then you need a Drs note past that. I thought Europe would be even more lax

Is there actual laws for this stuff? I thought it would depend on the employers?

Employment law is a pretty big old beast. I had to learn bits and pieces a couple of years ago when I started running a team... basically:

- Employer *can't* ask for a Doctors note for the first 7 days - if you're a permanent employee they must pay you Statutory Sick Pay.

- First 7 days is "self certified" - i.e. your employer takes your word, you write an official letter or you fill in a form attesting to your sickness.

- After 7 days, your employer can insist on a Doctor's note and stop paying Statutory Sick Pay if you don't provide one... they can also start disciplinary proceedings at this point if they think you're pulling a fast one.

- If you have several short absences in a year (I think it's 4 between 4-7 days) your employer can contact someone to get your story corroborated.
