I presume it's the same reason that people who're bullied in offices and playgrounds don't commit suicide.

How is cyber bullying a thing. Avoiding bullies online isn't a problem like it is in real life (right?).

I guess it really depends on the victim. Seems like the only way to get continuously bullied online is if you like it and take absolutely no action to stop it. Avoiding a website or user/member is much easier than avoiding a classroom/workplace or person.

Little kids can't differentiate between online and the real thing because they grew up with it.

It depends what kind, what about when loads of trolls post horrid things on memorial pages? Is that cyber bullying or just trolling?

Neither, the same rules apply as in a real life situation. Same as shouting it at a memorial service.

It's funny even back in the day on IRC or ICQ people just disconnected when getting trolled. This whole cyber bullying thing seems to be for attention whores who can't separate online from reality.

It's a real thing if the people are real, not some random stranger on the internet. Imagine you are being "bullied" (you have to define bullying really but some go as far as threatening) as a child at school via Facebook, is this any different than being bullied through notes/texts or any less worse than for example a 3rd party (e.g. hey george wanted me to tell you he is going to beat you up tomorrow after playtime because you didnt want to share your barbie)?

Then you have the "cyber bullying" where it's just people being trolled (over the top but hey there are sicker people in this world), but usually these people are just asking for it in my opinion (RIP Facebook pages, wtf? You can trust me not to put one up when closest person to me dies, Facebook will be the last thing on my mind, ps: it already is), so yes to me the definition of cyber bullying is real if it is between people that know each other in real life. If you have control over being bullied (i.e. Blocking users / clicking chat room away / turning off Skype ) but you do not stop it, then to me you are not being bullied, you are just an idiot.

This me reminds me of that Downes Syndrome girl that became a meme or something, she was really upset about it and her pic was all over the internet with witty comments like 'potato'

Yea that sucks and all, but it's just what happens. There is no solution for it, you can't start going after these people and "punishing" them. Us, everyone on the internet is what makes memes popular, you look at it laugh for a split second then feel bad realising what you're looking at but it spreads.

Ultimately that is really no worse than all the justin bieber/insert random brostep producer hate this forum produces for example. You're all cyber bullies. :6:

edit also that thread of mingers out or something, that is the exact same as the down syndrome image
