I can't really be arsed to have this discussion agin

all i will say is that to me it looks exactly like when people say 'ah no i hate dubstep i can't stand all that screechy noise flux pavillion and dr p are so bad'

This is what people will say:

- They talk about weed/drugs all the time: Yes shit ukhh people do, i don't like these people either, this is surely an argument against hip hop as a whole though or is it ok when americans do it?

- They say lots of big words that don't mean anything: Yeah i spose in some cases this could be true but who gives a fuck, if it sounds good i couldn't care less. Also how is this solely a problem with ukhh how can you listen to grime if this is your argument, that hardly has a lot of content. Also surely this should also be a criticism of most literature and poetry.

- The rappers think they are really clever for saying big words: This is a case of the person projecting something on to the rapper which isn't necessarily there, hardly a valid criticism. Also once again if i like how it sounds then i couldn't give a fuck what the rapper thinks of themselves.

- It is all just a copy of American hip hop: Yeah i spose American hip hop is the basis/influence for most ukhh as it would be, don't really see how this makes the genre a bad thing on the whole. Again if i like the way it sounds i couldn't care less what it is copying. I prefer an english accent so to me these 'copies' are welcome.

In summary: fuck off

UK Hiphop > * though?

Stateside at least is way, way, way behind these days. In terms of content, flow, personalities, beats, concepts.
