Just remembered I saw someone wearing an "Analogue Preservation Society" t-shirt on the plane over here.

TBF dBridge just did

that in this transition from Bad Company duties to individual.

never listened to a ben ufo set without feeling the need to track down at least one plate afterwards. my wantlist is littered with stuff I got to know by listening to their rinse show.

I think you're overreacting a bit, but fair play.

I wasn't slagging dBridge off in any way, he's runs one of my favourite labels and is a great DJ, I just think saying a set will be 'musical education' is well cringe

it really is though.
If some really standard dnb, followed by some half time dnb and then some trap influenced dnb is something super new and mindblowing to you

huh i don't think ben ufo is a douche or anything obviously hes sick

i'd say something equally annoying and good about this place is that someone will have some sort of complaint about literally every musician ever so it stops you getting to that point where you hero worship and i worry that my m8s developed this kind of humourless wide eyed fanboy vibe in respect to certain artists

Yeah I see talk to/see online shitloads of people who fucking worship Ben Ufo. Like he's a pretty good dj but they act like he's somehow the god of all electronic music that's worth listening to.

was 50% joking with that statement. the other fifty: off the top of my head - can't think of another dnb dj who keeps the crowd moving with a set I could imagine myself relaxing to on the balcony aswell. massive energy without having to resort to overly agressive or hyperactive beats. maybe it's because dnb isn't as big in switzerland as it is in the uk and raves are pretty scarce, but I'm fairly certain a large portion of a crowd would indeed get a bit "educated" by a dbridge set.

fair shout! Skeptical did deliver a sick set at ours. has a very "techno" style of mixing. calm, drawn-out transitions, subtle use of effects. wicked selection.

definitely a guy I would book again.
