The first track sounds more than skrillex than dubstep, put some (more) delay effekts on some sounds make it dubby ....dubstep has to be dubby ...its a modern form of dub ..
watch "dub echoes" on youtube and learn about the dub production techniques ...
The second track is much better and gets more in the right way, with a good subbass, and some delay effekts you could make some real good dubstep track from it ..

interesting. i wasn't really trying to classify either into "dubstep" i just do what i feel like. not hearing the skrillex reference thouhgh. the 2nd one does have a huge sub in it, it is just super super low because the synths are low enough.

Drum programming is quite dull. Kick...snare...repeat. Would suggest mixing it up a bit to make it less ploddy. Snare itself is quite thin and rapsy, like it's missing a lot of the meatier mid-low frequencies.
Whole mix is very top end frequency heavy, so it's got quite a hissy white noise vibe to it which I'm not really enjoying.
